The Bifurcation of Search: Internet vs. Enterprise Search Paradigms

This article argues that Internet search and enterprise search require fundamentally different approaches. While Internet search has evolved from content-based relevancy to link-structure algorithms like PageRank, enterprise search should shift from traditional search to database-like querying using XML markup enrichers and XQuery-based content servers.
